2011 Iowa hoop tour underwaythanks storm lake and iowa city! |
|
The 2011 Iowa Hoop Tour has started with a bang. Storm Lake kicked off the tour on March 19 with great crowds and a lot of fun. As usual Amanda Damewood and her crew put on a great event. This year’s Hoop was bittersweet as it was in memory Tami Kristensen, who passed away from HD this past year. Iowa City put their second Hoop under their belts and it was bigger and better than before. Sean Thompson was in charge and his group from the HD Center of Excellence at the University of Iowa helped make the event an afternoon of fun for the whole family Thanks to everyone in eastern Iowa who came to Iowa City High on March 27. |

The first two stops on the 2011 Iowa Hoop Tour are over but it’s not too late to participate. There are three exciting Hoops coming up in April. The 2011 Hoop Tour will make a stop at the AIB College Activities Center on April 9. If you live in Central Iowa come out for an afternoon of family fun. Audubon is the second stop on the Tour in April. You will find Carrie Tibben and her young group at the Audubon High School on Sunday, April 17. Our last Hoop will be in Panora and the Veteran’s Auditorium. This is the first year for this Hoop and we invite everyone to help out Melanie Parker and her group by making her first year a success. |
